火锅的秘密这部科学影像主要研究了北京老火锅的各种特征而展开的实验。 


他们首先对火锅的形状进行研究,用铜丝绕成来模拟老北京火锅的宝塔。对比了圆台状和圆柱状的宝塔形状,发现之所以做成圆台状宝塔,是因为这样热空气向上散失的空间能越来越小,能量就能下沉积聚,使锅迅速升温。 


但这些还是不能满足他们的好奇心,于是又买来不锈钢锅和铜锅进行对比。发现铜火锅的传热效果和不锈钢锅基本不相上下,不锈钢锅的价格却比铜锅便宜将近一倍,因此,铜火锅的销量远远不及不锈钢锅。但是他们希望通过这部影片,让更多的人们了解文化背后的故事,支持传统文化。


The Secret of Hot Pot is mainly an experiment conducted by studying the various characteristics of Beijing’s old hot pot. They first studied the shape of the hot pot and used copper wire to simulate the pagoda of the old Beijing hot pot. 


They compared the truncated cone-shaped and cylindrical pagoda shapes, and found that the truncated cone-shaped pagoda was made because the hot air was lost upwards. The space energy is getting smaller and smaller, the energy can be deposited and accumulated, and the pot will heat up quickly. 


But these still couldn't satisfy their curiosity, so they bought a stainless steel pot and a copper pot for comparison. It is found that the heat transfer effect of copper hot pot is basically the same as that of stainless steel pot, but the price of stainless steel pot is nearly double that of copper pot. Therefore, the sales volume of copper hot pot is far less than that of stainless steel pot. But they hope that through this film, more people can understand the story behind the culture and support traditional culture.
